WMS World Cycling – Endurance Rides is a long-distance cycling program of the World Masters Sports Federation that encourages cyclists to test their stamina and endurance through structured rides. Riders participate in events such as the WMS-100 Cycling Event, WMS-150 Cycling Event, and WMS-200 Cycling Event conducted by authorized WMS affiliates worldwide.

WMS–World Cycling is the global cycling initiative of the World Masters Sports Federation, created to promote endurance cycling, competitive road racing, and lifelong participation in the sport. The program brings together cyclists from around the world, including youth, masters, veterans, and senior riders, through structured endurance rides, championship races, and international cycling events. WMS World Cycling focuses on developing a strong global cycling community while encouraging fitness, sportsmanship, and international friendship through prestigious events such as the WMS-100 World Cycling Championships held annually in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Eligible cyclists who wish to participate in the WMS-100 Cycling Event, WMS-150 Cycling Event, or WMS-200 Cycling Event under the World Masters Sports Federation Endurance Cycling Program may register through officially recognized WMS City Affiliates in their respective cities. These registered affiliates will periodically organize and conduct certified endurance cycling rides and publish the event announcements and registration links on platforms such as Eventbrite, Checkin, Townscript and other online event registration portals. Interested riders are encouraged to follow announcements from their local WMS affiliates and complete their registration through the official event listing for their city.
Membership in the World Masters Sports Federation is not compulsory for cyclists who wish to participate in the WMS-100 Cycling Event, WMS-150 Cycling Event, or WMS-200 Cycling Event. However, riders who aspire to compete in international championship events such as the WMS-100 World Cycling Championships are required to become Life Members of WMSF by paying a one-time life membership fee of USD 50. The WMSF Life Membership enables cyclists to participate in global championship events and become part of the international endurance cycling community promoted by the federation.
Through this initiative, the World Masters Sports Federation aims to build a global community of endurance cyclists, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and encourage international participation in long-distance cycling events. The endurance cycling program also serves as a pathway for cyclists to qualify for prestigious international competitions such as the WMS-100 HUA HIN WORLD CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS, held annually in Hua Hin, Thailand, where endurance riders from around the world come together to celebrate the sport of cycling and the pursuit of human endurance.
The World Masters Sports Federation has instituted the WMS Cycling Awards to recognize cyclists who successfully complete designated endurance cycling distances under the WMS Endurance Cycling program. These awards celebrate determination, stamina, and the spirit of long-distance cycling, and serve as a pathway for cyclists aspiring to compete in elite endurance events such as the WMS-100 World Cycling Championships held in Hua Hin, Thailand. The awards are structured into three medal categories based on distance achievements.
Bronze Medal Category
Silver Medal Category
Gold Medal Category
These awards symbolize progressive milestones in endurance cycling and encourage riders to gradually advance their long-distance cycling capability while promoting safe and responsible cycling practices.
The WMS Cycling Awards of the World Masters Sports Federation are presented to successful riders immediately after the completion of the WMS Cycling Events. Upon finishing the designated endurance distance and verification of ride completion, cyclists will receive their respective awards through the official WMS Affiliates organizing the event in that city. This immediate presentation recognizes the rider’s endurance achievement and celebrates their accomplishment in the spirit of sportsmanship and long-distance cycling. There is no additional fee for Awards.
All participants registering for the WMS-100 Cycling Event, WMS-150 Cycling Event, or WMS-200 Cycling Event conducted under the World Masters Sports Federation must be 18 years of age or older. Riders are required to have valid personal accident or ride insurance coverage for the duration of the event. In addition, every participant must provide a medical fitness certificate from a qualified medical practitioner confirming that they are physically fit to undertake long-distance endurance cycling. These requirements are mandatory to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all riders participating in WMS endurance cycling events.
